About NTCP

NTCP (National EMS Training Certification Platform) is a training and reference platform built for EMS agencies — not individual providers shopping for a course.

Our roots

NTCP is built by Starwest Technologies, founded in the early 1980s by Bob Ramsey with the goal of creating advanced technologies to improve EMS service delivery and patient outcomes. Starwest's flagship product, Zoi ePCR, has helped EMTs collect patient information and follow protocol guidance during treatment since 2001 — NTCP extends that same team's EMS-technology focus into certification-prep training, recertification, and CME tracking.

What we do

We give fire departments, EMS services, hospital-based EMS programs, and training programs one place to run their personnel's certification-prep training, recertification training, and continuing-education tracking. Agencies license seats for their own people; there's no individual public purchase path.

What we're clear about

NTCP does not issue or guarantee NREMT or state certification — that's the job of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and your state EMS office. NTCP is not currently a CAPCE-accredited CE provider; the CME log is an internal evidence workflow, not proof of accredited or externally accepted credit. We'd rather be precise about what the platform does than let a page overclaim it — see our full Terms of Service and Medical & Clinical Content Disclaimer for the exact language.

Where we're headed

Medical Director clinical review of training content is a version-specific, ongoing process. NTCP is not currently a CAPCE-accredited CE provider, and we make no accreditation promise or timeline. Our news page will report completed milestones only.
